Lily comes to us from not the best situation. Her papa has become more and more busy and he is not able to give Lily the attention she needs. He also lives in a third-floor apartment. These two situations have made it difficult to take Lily out when she needs to and she has started having accidents in the house. Lily looks "hefty" in size but she is actually quite solid. Socially, this sweet girl loves her people. When we met her, she was all over us asking for head scratches and belly rubs. She also gets along fine with cats--she lives with two. With regard to dogs, however, we prefer to err on the side of caution because 9 years ago at age 1, she had a bad experience with a dog (just being safe). So, we are looking for a home without dogs. We are anxious to get her into a new home because we don't want the potty issue to worsen and become a habit. At this early point, we believe that she is trainable and can overcome this setback. We will see, however, what our own vet has to say about this.
