Rocky lived alone in a foreclosed house from October, 2025 til just recently. His owner loves him dearly but her only choice was to re-home him. In addition, she couldn't even take her with him to her new apartment because they didn't allow dogs. So poor Rocky stayed by himself for several months with only two visits per day for food and pottying. Then his mom found us and Rocky was finally able to leave his lonely past January 17th, 2026 to join the home of beloved foster Cindy. Her home has a ton of home and yard space for this big fella to explore and run around in. The adjustment from a life long with his mom from birth to his new surroundings. He has not left the landing of his new home for days, just waiting, likely for his mom's return. It will take awhile to adjust, but Cindy is up to the task and a foster kitty sister who will also jump on the welcome wagon.
Rocky is a hefty boy, about 40 lbs overweight. His road to shedding those extra pounds has already begun. The one place where Rocky's guard does come down and he forgets his troubles is in the backyard. There he gets a lot of exercise chasing the squeaky football that Cindy throws around for him. In no time, we'll see his waistline. He is also totally reliable in his housebreaking. |
