Buddy is a tragic casualty of an owner whose needs have sent them into assisted living. Little Buddy is very resilient, making the transition into his foster's home seamlessly. He is sweet, affectionate, and very friendly. He is also very playful with other dogs. He has not met a canine he doesn't like. Size doesn't matter either. He is currently being fostered in a home with a dog that is at least 50 lbs heavier than him and much taller. But Buddy found that if he lept with gusto, he could touch her chin. Needless to say, Buddy is getting quite the workout constantly leaping at his foster sister, Zia's face to invite her to play. Zia is less than half of Buddy's age and has begged for a reprieve. We have tried sitting Buddy down to explain that he is nearly 16 years old. This, however, has fallen on deaf ears (and he's not even deaf!). And we can't use medical test results as evidence because they came back so darn good. The closest we can come is the bit of arthritis he has in one of his back legs. Clearly, he would be an excellent companion for a lonely dog who likes to play. If there is any zit on Buddy's record is that he was never properly housebroken. He was also never neutered, which, by the way, is happening on April 23rd, along with a dental cleaning. Fortunately for everyone, especially his adopter, Buddy's experienced foster is working on housebreaking and finding success. In the meantime, he uses a diaper with no complaint.
