Available Dogs from Our Rescue Partners
Our senior rescues come from a variety of sources. Two such sources are animal control facilities and humane societies. Places like this are often filled to the gills with dogs and seriously hurting for adopters. We have started this page as a thank you to our partners for working with us, trusting us with their dogs, and, in general, for working so hard to save dogs. For each of the dogs presented on this page, we provide demographic information about the dog and what is known about their behavior. We will also indicate the name of the particular facility that they are at and the link to their webpage. Please note that each of these facilities takes very special care of their dogs and they prepare them for adoption by fully vaccinating them. Sometimes they are able to provide spay and neuter services and heartworm testing, but that is something you will have to ask directly of them. Also note that these are courtesy posts so these dogs are not coming through our rescue and have not been personally vetted by us. Nonetheless, we trust wholeheartedly these organizations and the kind of quality care they provide for their dogs.
Marley is a 7-year-old, 70-lb, male Treeing Walker Coonhound and Hound mix. He is located at Muncie Animal Care & Services in Muncie, Indiana. The link to their website is: https://www.cityofmuncie.com/department/index.php?structureid=15
Marley is neutered, housebroken, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Socially, he is good with other dogs. He is a big goofy Scooby-Doo type, fun to to hike with or just watch tv. But watch out! At 70 lbs, he is a very strong boy and requires an equally strong owner to help channel his energy. Stop by the shelter and meet this sweet guy. Since Marley is a senior, his adoption fee is waived to an approved home.
