Hospice Seniors

Picture
Rudy has landed in hospice by simple virtue of his age of 20 years. He is also blind. He is being cared for generously and lovingly by our rescue partner, Critter Corner, run by Stacey.

Riley came to us after losing his dad. He has become pretty fragile in his older years and is also now dealing with symptoms of dementia. He is being cared for generously and lovingly by our hospice foster, Patti.

Brie came to us as a stray. During her physical exam, bloodwork revealed that she is in end-stage kidney failure. She is currently receiving injection treatments three times a week. She is being cared for generously and lovingly by our hospice foster, Erin. We pray for your little kidneys everyday, Brie.

Jack the moppet, 18 years, went to his doggie maker on November 13th, 2021. Many thanks to his beloved foster, Cindy, for rising to the occasion yet again. She made Jack's last years the most calm and enjoyable as possible in his last months of life.

Tito met his doggy maker 9-15-21. Many thanks to Cindy who held his little paw through it all. You will be remembered. RIP.

Bear was surrendered to us as a very sick dog with advanced kidney disease. He was lovingly cared for by foster Ann. Our little fellow met his doggy maker March, 2022.

Lulu, sister to Nellie, came to us as a little skinny mini, struggling to get healthy. She needed a lot of medical care and attention, in general, until she succumbed completely to her poor health in October, 2022. Her sister found a home where she has found solace in great doggie parents and a new canine sibling.

Buddy and sister, Jazzy, were surrendered as an emergency case. A massive social media and word-of-mouth campaign found them an emergency foster and then fosters, who arranged to come to Illinois from Maine. But before they could arrive, Buddy got very sick and did not survive. The generous souls from across the country came anyway and have given Jazzy a home, where she is living the absolute best happily-ever-after life imaginable.
