Jackson is a 10-year-old Shih Tzu-Terrier mix who acts more like a kindergartener. This high-spirited and energetic boy weighs in at 23 lbs. Jackson is social and gets along well with cats and dogs, and with big humans. Although he could be fine with children, as a rescue, we believe that high canine energy + high kid energy=not a great fit. Jackson has all his shots and has been heartworm tested. In addition, his bloodwork shows that he is in great health. He is also fully housebroken. For all his spirit and spunk, Jackson is perfectly delighted to rest his head on someone’s lap for tv watching and cuddling. Jackson's high energy level speaks to his need for a home that can absorb and channel that high energy. His former owner has warned us that Jackson is not likely to do well in a home with older people over 65.
