Lexi is a sweet pudgy pug. She is pure love. Sadly, like many of the dogs surrendered to Citizen Canine Rescue, her owner’s poor health has made it difficult to provide the care that Lexi needs. She doesn't play so much now. But this docile gal does enjoy a brisk trot outside. Lexi is blind and she is partially deaf. She knows the lay of the land in her home, just as she will wherever her next home is. Lexi has been with her owner for 12 of her 14 years. Lexi is so adorable and loving that people are drawn to her. She gets along with cats and dogs. Given her age and her blindness and deafness, Lexi is going to do best in a home where there is not a lot of traffic. Also, even though she gets along with children, Lexi is likely to do best where she doesn’t have a lot of active little legs dashing around her. In the best case scenario, Lexi shares a home with an individual or couple, maybe retired, who are home most of the time and have the patience and love to shepherd this girl through her senior years.
