Missy is a soft, sweet, happy little dog who adapts rapidly and easily to new environments - an absolute sweetpea who is easy to care for and even easier to fall in love with! She’s incredibly adaptable, quiet, and happy … and will soak up every scrap of affection you give her. She gets along with dogs and kids. We assume cats, too. Surrendered by an elderly owner who was unable to care for her, Missy spent her days locked in a bedroom by herself. Living in a foster home has rejuvenated this plucky little gal. She loves exploring her house and does so with surprising ease. After 20 minutes of sniffing--extra tail wags along the way when she “discovers” one of her humans or the resident dogs--she finds her way to her bed and snoozes for hours. She is quiet and unassuming, just wanting a safe place to sleep away the hours and a blanket to snuggle with. She does have some potty accidents, as she’s used to being ignored. But she’s adapting rapidly and learning to speak up when she needs attention or outside time. She sleeps in a crate at night and needs to be carried up and down stairs, as well as help avoiding other such “dangers.” Honestly, if you’ve ever cared for a crawling infant, you can handle this dog. Seeing her blossom is worth the very tiny hassles created by her physical limitations.
