Roxy is a lovely dog little dog with a sweet disposition. Her life-long family moved out of state and was not able to take her with them. Despite this change in her life, she is managing nicely and accepting the love and warmth of her foster family. Her 16-year age is deceptive. She still breaks out into a full-on run. Sometimes, though, her occasionally weak rear legs remind us of her senior status. Most of the time, this old gal spends her time sleeping. When she meets new people, she takes a few minutes to warm up but once she does, she’s a lamb. She needs no warm-up time with other dogs, though. She takes to them right away. Currently, she shares a home with senior dogs, including a Beagle and a Pug, with no problem. Medically, blood tests and a chemistry panel results show her to be in good health, which is always a pleasant surprise for us with senior dogs of her age.
