Poor little Zoey has made her way back to us. She was adopted in the fall of '22, but her owner's well being suffered and, as a result, so did Zoey's. For example, she gained one third of her body weight which is terrible because it aggravated her arthritis and causes her a lot of pain. We promptly put her on a diet so she could go back to taking those long walks she so loves.
She is a no-nonsense, independent 13-year-old Jack Russell Terrier with minimal needs, who just wants to lay in her little bed and dream of treats and a loving home. Zoey is a little-to-medium, 20 lb. dog. She has a mild disposition. She has back-end arthritis which makes being in a household with children--who sometimes aren't so gentle even though they don't mean to be--not a good idea. Likewise, being in a home with stairs would be a problem for her. She is fully housebroken and is able to be alone without any messes or barking. This girl is best suited for a single-adult home or a home with a couple. |
